Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical HVAC Project Manager on behalf of our client, a Midlands-based Mechanical & Electrical design and build contractor delivering HVAC systems across commercial and industrial projects ranging from £50k to £5m+.

Role

You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of HVAC projects from design and procurement through to installation, commissioning, and final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop HVAC system specifications, drawings, and equipment schedules
  • Manage procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractors
  • Coordinate and oversee site installation works
  • Manage project costs, valuations, forecasts, and final accounts
  • Handle variations and change control
  • Lead commissioning, testing, and project handover
  • Attend site meetings with clients and subcontractors
  • Produce O&M manuals and provide technical support

Requirements

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Building Services (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years’ experience in HVAC design & build projects
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and installation practices
  • AutoCAD experience and BIM awareness (desirable)
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
